RCI guards are engineered with integrated vents. These openings allow for significant airflow and heat dissipation, ensuring your catalytic converters stay within their normal operating temperature range while remaining physically protected.

+ Is drilling required for installation?

For newer RCI Transmission skids, these are 100% bolt-on. If you purchased your transmission skid plate several years ago (before RCI offered cat guards), you may need to drill a few holes in the skid plate flange to match the guard mounting pattern.

+ What material should I choose: Aluminum or Steel?
